Attention Artists/Bands! Website Up For Grabs

This afternoon I have been inspired to work on a musician’s website.

I read an article about the five reasons band websites suck and I now wanted to throw it out there that I’m interested in developing a website for either a solo artist or a band.

I’m not too bothered as to who or what they play, but I think it’d be really great to have a go at a website like that.

You may ask “Can’t we just use MySpace?” Well you could be the problem for the music industry is that many musician’s websites, like MySpace, are very cluttered and it’s hard to make sense of all that information sometimes. A hosted website means that it’s easier to display information in a friendly way and get fans to interact. Websites also look more professional than MySpace pages. For a start you can have a proper web address like www.biggestbandever.co.uk instead of myspace.com/biggestbandeveruk! You never know, a proper site could lead to a big booking!

If you are interested or know of someone that may want a website doing for good money, then please either forward this on to them, or email me oliver@thewebguyuk.co.uk.

Did the goat eat it or did you brake the internet?

It doesn’t matter what website you run, your visitors will come across your 404 page at some point, so why not use it creatively?

After seeing an article titled “50 Unique 404 Error Pages” on Bluefaqs, I was inspired to redesign my own 404 page. But first lets look at some ones Bluefaqs picked up on.

So there was my inspiration and I’ve now gone and updated my own 404 Error Page. However I do need some help; the GIF I’ve used won’t reload to the beginning after a reload. If you’ve got some advice on how to remedy that, please leave the information as a comment.

Website Redesign/Relaunch

You may have noticed that my website has had a redesign and a relaunch.

The new website is now in the form of a blog. This means that my website now includes the old ‘projects’ site as part of the main site.

The idea is that now I will update my blog with details of new and current projects that I am involved with. At the moment these include my work at college, Tulip Radio and KingsGate Community Church.

We’ll have to see how it goes. Hopefully I will update  it as regularly as I used to my Tumblr account.
