Tulip Radio
Tulip Radio is a local community radio station that has just been awarded its full-time broadcasting licence, ready to broadcast in early 2009. I’ve been with Tulip Radio for over four years and started on the pilot for what is now their media broadcasting course for young people. I’ve helped with several of the station’s broadcasts and public events that they have been involved with. I now produce Tulip Radio’s own Facebook Page. I hope to continue to support them and be part of the station when it goes full-time.
The latest craze has been ‘Twitter’ in which users communicate with others through 140 characters. Tulip Radio now has their own account of the site and is updated by ‘Tulipa the tulip’. This is a brand new form of communication for the station and will offer them an even bigger fan base. It also allows them another outlet to update users on their latest podcast, photos and weather updates.
