Let It Shine! *Updated Audio
Mar 7th
Well today the sun has certainly shown it’s face in South Lincolnshire! It means that summer is on its way. As I type this I’m listening to ‘One Day Like This’ by Elbow, which I think is a great track for the summer mornings.
Seeming as we’re talking about lights and things that shine. Watch this.
Recognise the song? It’s a jazzed up version of This Little Light of Mine, which is a song that you may have sung in Primary School.
Well this morning at KingsGate in Peterborough we had the pleasure of hearing Andy Hawthorne speak. He’s from The Message Trust in Manchester and he showed us this video.
These guys are hoping to spread the word of the Holy Gospel and Jesus across the nation by releasing this (catchy) track. The video has already been approved for distribution by Universal Music across the UK. So you could start seeing it on channels like MTV and 4Music!
They want to get it into the charts and I think they’ve got a real chance.
Here’s a clip from the service, which leads up to Andy introducing the track.

The video itself I believe is well put together and is of professional quality as well, so I was interested in posting it as a matter of media interest.
Release The Midnight Beast!
Mar 4th
There are usually some horrendous parodies of songs on YouTube, but there are some real gems out there.
Today I bring you the parody of Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK” in the form of The Midnight Beast Feat. ST£FAN. The gents also take the Michael of Lady GaGa.
I love it because it just takes the Micky out of anyone and anything. Pure and simple. Plus the video is well put together and thoughtout.
Warning: the following video does contain lots of strong language, which some viewers may find offensive.
Do you remember the original Brewers Fayre mascot?

I have a very important question for you. First though, how this question came about.
Today I was with my mates from college today, and we were visiting Peterborough Market and the video stall there with has some old and new movies on DVD, and we were browsing through and Lawrence came across a DVD which contained episodes of a 1980s stock animation character.
This character was Charlie Chalk. Don’t remember him? Try watching the opening titles:
You remember him now?! Great! Well did you know that there were only ever 13 episodes made and aired on the BBC.
Even though the character was created in 1987 and I was born in 1992, I remember him! He was the original mascot for the UK restaurant chain Brewers Fayre and I remember going to the Brewers Fayre in Boston and going on the Charlie Chalk bouncy castle.
So yeah there’s so much attached for me to this character. Why not share your favourite moments or memories of him on here, just comment!
Want more Charlie Chalk? Great! There’s the first whole episode on YouTube. Go see!
